Although I originally wanted a mount that could swivel and tilt, this one is fine for my needs. I feel that a more stationary mount would be more stable for my 52″ flatscreen. Once the tv was mounted, I saw that the configuration of my room allowed a good view from every vantage point. Don’t be intimidated about mounting it. Get a strong helper, a bubble level, a stud finder, and a good drill and you’re good to go.

Bought this for my 50″ Panasonic Plasma. Had issue with a wall stud being dead center on my placement of the tv, which meant that I could install a regular mount on 2 studs, then try to offset the hang of the TV as much as possible…which did not look good. This mount spans across 3 studs comfortably (make sure you measure correctly), and once installed, is extremely sold.
The tilt feature not as impressive if you are looking to tilt your tv often. There is not enough room between TV and wall to tighten and loosen the tilt lock. But if you are happy to tilt your tv upon install then leave, I would highly recommend.

This mount was exactly what I was looking for. I have a 46″ Sony LCD TV but I hope to upgrade this TV to a 52″ and I don’t want to buy another mount for it. This one covers both sizes and allow you to slide the TV side to side to get the TV perfectly centered in your room. I did most of the install myself but having a hand to help keep things level while you’re marking marking the holes doesn’t hurt. The slots in the bracket make it easier to make sure you hit at least two studs with the included lag bolts. I strongly recommend having someone help with the final lift of the TV to the wall. My 46″ TV is light enough to move on my own but why risk it. Another note: if you use a power drill/driver for the lag bolts, use the torque limiter. I broke the head off of one of the bolts (the last one of course).
As for the included acessories: stud finder, and built-in level, both worked flawlessly. I took the advice of other posters and used a back-up level, and verified each stud with a panel nail but both proved correct and true.
Directions are only pitograms however and not completely clear. Otherwise, I would give 5 stars.
