I bought this cabinet a few days ago, and it is the worst piece of furniture I ever bought. It’s look very nice, but the biggest problem is its sturdiness. I’ve been assembled many pieces before this, but I could not believe how badly made this piece is.

The hidden cams and cam dowels are the most important factor here because they hold and secure all the pieces together, but they don’t in this case. The cam dowel base is made with plastic threat cover over hollow metal. You insert it in the pre-drilled hole on one piece of wood and attach it to the hidden cam that you inserted on the pre-drilled hole of another piece. The instruction says to tighten the cam 210 degree to ensure that the cam locks in with the cam dowel firmly, but what the use if the cam dowel can come right off the pre-drilled hole.

The cabinet is wobbling and hard to move without the fear that it would fall apart once it is assembled, and it DID. I wish they made the cam dowels with solid metal threat at the base, so you can screw them in the pre-drilled hole tightly, and once they’ve been attached to the hidden cams, they would lock in securely like other well made furniture I’ve assembled.

My husband and I put this thing together in a day and it took us a little while to get everything together but it was well worth it. If you put it together CORRECTLY (eyes 1 star reviewer) this is a nice, solid entertainment center that will last you a long time. So far it’s got our 42″ TV in there and it fits fine with room to spare. We’re getting a 46″ for it today and I have no doubts it will fit just fine. I think it holds up to 50″ TVs but you’d have to check. Hope this helps!
