How some users rated this plastic thingy 5 stars or even 4 stars is really way beyond me. I was eager to receive this iPod speaker only to open the box and immediately realize how cheaply it is made. Once I connected it, my suspicions were confirmed and the sound was reminiscent of the old cheap transistor battery-operated radios from my childhood of the 1970s. Thank goodness I did not buy more because I had plan on giving it as a gift. The sound is simply poor and offensive to the ears. It states that it sounds like 4 speakers, well it sounded like one speaker on a cheap radio. The description of the product makes it appear as if this system is a mega sound system with great quality, but it’s not and it’s very disappointing. If you’re looking for a cheap transistor radio reminiscent of the 1970s with cheaply made parts, then this product is for you. If you’re looking for good quality, go with the iHomes or Bose. This thing is not worth it, plus they just raised their price up to $10.00. Definitely returning this asap.

I had not heard of this brand before, but I read a few positive reviews of the quality of sound and ordered it for my desk at work. After I ordered the GoGroove MOVE SonusMax Speaker System, I found another speaker system on sale at a box store. I took it to work and tried it out; luckily I kept the box this speaker system came in. The sound was very tinny and unsatisfactory. I promptly took this system back to the store and waited on my SonusMax to arrive.
I own both a Zune HD and an iPod Touch. I feel the Zune has a little better sound quality to it (at least through headphones), but I was very impressed at the sound output of my Touch through the SonusMax system. The bass was just the right amount and the tone quality was good. The on/off button and volume controls are on the top of this unit, which makes it easy to adjust. I also like the small footprint that this upright unit has on my desk, it has a picture-frame-like stand on the back that sets it predominantly upright and out of the way. It can also be mounted on a wall, but I don’t really see too many people doing that. A little caution is needed when both seating your Touch into the unit and removing it. It is manufactured well and the front mount pops out to give access to the mounting bracket, but it seems a little hard to mount and remove. I certainly haven’t had any problems doing either yet, it just seems like a small amount of force is needed.
I also like the fact that I can use the included input cable to hook up my Zune HD and listen to HD radio! Overall a very good product for the $50 I spent.

I got this for my sister as a gift but when I was able to take a better look at it I was impresed was the design and the versatility of the product. The product is portable or can be wall mounted and can hold securely the various versions of the ipods. The sound was clear and my sister said that she was going to listen to it on her drive home because her radio stations didn’t come in all that clear. I was so impressed that I have ordered one for myself and can’t wait until I receive this product. i find that the pricing is reasonable as well.

I am happy with this speaker system. I bought it for my boyfriend who I dance professionally with. We love the quality of the speakers too – the volume is good for practicing, for the car, and for dancing outside. I would recommend this product to friends. For the price, this is a good speaker system.

I got this mostly for my bathroom to listen to music or (via streaming) the radio while I’m in the shower. First: the little tinny speakers that this thing is equipped with don’t get very loud. Perhaps if I was playing dance hall compressed hip hop I’d be fine, but that isn’t really my thing so I often have a hard time hearing this, even at full volume, with the shower running. Ok, so maybe it’s not meant to cut through the white noise sonic clutter I’m creating. Yeah I can hear it just fine and turn down the volume when taking a bath. It sounds ok, but it does not sound good. Ok is the best I can say about it. Ok to listen to for 20 minutes but not something you’d ever want as a primary music source. If you want to QUIETLY listen to music on tinny cheap speakers this product fits the bill. I also have a Logitech Pure Fi Anytime which is about three times the price of this, but it’s worth three times as much as well. The sound quality is much better and it has a radio which I wish this one did. I don’t think this is even a terribly good value.
