I purchased these to use with a laptop, hoping to get a little better sound. I liked the fact that they came with their own power supply, as I didn’t want to take away from available USB ports, or pull more power from the laptop, however when I plugged everything in, and turned on the speakers, I found that I had to turn the volume up all the way, just to hear something. I then unplugged the speakers and my laptop speakers were emanating more sound. Needless to say, I will be returning them shortly.

Just a side note, I found these locally and didn’t purchase them through amazon, but thought I’d share my experience regardless.

    Pros:

    Cheap

    Great sound

    Nice small size

    Looks great

    Aux Port

Wire wrap thing at the back

    Cons:

No speaker protection if someone were to poke it

No way to disconnect the left speaker from the right

    Other Thoughts:

If you were to put it in a bag for transport. Make sure the speaker head doesnt touch anything.

I needed a set of small 2.0 speakers to hook up to my new 19″ Samsung HDTV. I didn’t need booming bass or lots of adjustments. I just wanted a bit richer sound than the tinny TV speakers were putting out, so I figured I could get away with a cheap pair of computer 2.0′s. I looked at several brands in this price range and this pair had the most watts and best style. They don’t look cheap like others in this price range. My only concern was that the speaker cones are not protected, the others had grills over the cones. They’ll be fine for me, I’ll just be careful…but I wouldn’t recommend these if you have kids, they could easily damage the exposed cones. Not being able to listen to any of them in the store, I decided the best buy would be the Logitech brand. I got them home and hooked them up and they sound great with the TV. In fact, with the auxillary input, I was able to hook them up to the PC as well. The sound is clear and the bass is more then enough for this size speaker. I’m very pleased with my purchase and would recommend them.

I recently had to replace a set of old speakers that finally died.

These new Logitech speakers sound awesome!

I also have a new Diamond sound card, maybe that also has something to do with it.

They don’t distort as far I can tell, I’ve had them only for couple hours.

I turned them to max with no distortion.

Clean bass as far as I can tell.

I’m playing rock music, so you know there’s plenty of bass.

The best thing of all, is that they are beautiful to look at!

They have a glossy black finish that the photos don’t do justice.

    Just a great product!

A bonus is the extra line-in straight to the speakers!
