i received this as a christmas gift. my review of this device only goes as far as plugging it in (or attempting to)– the chord simply will not stay plugged into the unit, even when the device is completely stationary. very poorly designed. maybe duct tape would solve the problem, but i think this is unacceptable and will be returning mine. dont buy this product.

For the price, this is an outstanding radio/docking station, and very compact. It allows you to plug in accessories (CD player, headphones) and does everything I expected it to do. I bought it for my kitchen. When I’m cooking I like to have tunes to keep me company. The sound quality it not great at higher volume, lacking the bass response, but at this price point I don’t expect amazing sound. This is a nice product, and I recommend it.

Connected fine, buttons worked, sound during playback was OK for a small room, even got FM reception in a concrete building. But the HUM and the HISS were unbearable. If the iPod was not connected, no problem. But as soon as I docked my iPod Touch, on came the hum and the hiss. The hiss was always there whether the iPod was on or off, and the hum was intermittent, made much worse if the “bass” switch was on. I tried it with and without the iPod case, with the little plastic docking insert and without, no difference. Just an annoying hiss and hum all the fricking time. Back it goes. At least I bought it from a physical store so I don’t have to pay anything to ship it back.

I received this as a Christmas gift and was excited to plug it in and place it on my desk. First, it is too big. Maybe if the sound were good I could justify the size, but the sound is terrible. Tinny and occasionally plagued by static. The tuner is terrible and I get almost no radio stations whatsoever. It does manage to charge my ipod easily, so I guess that is reason enough to give it 1 star. I’ll be looking for a different product soon.

Received this as a christmas present and it was returned today. The sound was not very good, had issue with the power cord as well. Spend the extra money on a good one.
