This is a great budget-oriented center channel for anyone who already has or is looking to get Klipsch synergy speakers. I matched it with SF1 floorstanding front speakers and it sounds excellent. Together, plus a subwoofer and some surrounds, the system really makes for a great home theater experience. Voices sound natural and the details come out. It becomes almost disconcerting hearing the lightest sounds like the faint peeling sound of an actor’s lips parting when they speak. Definitely recommended, especially if you’re paying significantly less than MSRP (which it usually goes for).

I bought a new tv (samsung 52 inch b630 amazon purchase) and the way my stand is with the tv on it, I had to

set the old center channel to one side of it and the sound became off balanced. I had some options,

either buy a new tv stand or put a shelf below the tv so the center would have room.

I don’t like these options so I bought a second center channel, this klipsch. Both centers sitting on the

front side A speakers. The dialogue is coming from the center now. Sounding very groovy.

One thing not talked about in the description is this center speaker comes with threads so it can

be mounted on a stand or on a wall.

The sound of this speaker is very crisp and clean, at high volumes it can get a little chirpy (2 to 3pm)

But for 80$, I’ll listen to this cool bird chirp. Has nice weight when you pick it up. Solid.

Not to mention, this speaker just looks damn cool. I leave the grill off so I can bask in its

    simulated titanium beauty :)

My current setup (its about to change again!!!)

    Yamaha RV 1105 receiver

    1 jbl center channel

1 klipsch c1 center channel (amazon purchase)

    2 jbl tlx 151 (front A side)

    2 jbl tlx 121 (front B side)

2 bose 161s mounted to the sides of the jbl 121s (rear channel)

2 polk 10 inch subwoofers (its a big room :) (amazon purchase)

I just ordered some cerwin vega ve-12s (amazon purchase) to replace the 151s, which in turn will replace the 121′s.

I’m tired of whimpy bookshelf speaker sounds. I want to be at the concert!!!!

And how cool is this c1 going to look sitting on top of a CV VE-12 ?????

There are 3 sizes for this speaker, but I’m glad I bought the smaller size. I have a hearing comprehension deficiency and wear hearing aids. I had tried several, including Bose, before I purchased the Cerwin Vega center speaker that I used for a number of years. None that I listened to before had the clarity that I find in the Klipsch. Inasmuch as the center channel speaker is aimed at voice transmission primarily, that is a big plus. There was no difficulty in installing it. I did have to balance the system (mine is 2 front speakers, center speaker and a 12″ sub) to get all speakers at the same volume level, but that was done automatically by my Sony receiver, and the “wall of sound” was great. Also, I could understand the voice transmissions better than ever. Others may find one of the other sizes to be more satisfactory, but I don’t think they’ll go wrong with Klipsch.

$79 for a Klipsch center! that’s unheard of. I’m very impressed w/ it. I have it w/ the S1s and F1s and a Velodyne VX-10. Vanns shipped this fast and well pkged.

I purchaced one of these about 1 1/2 years ago, and i’m using it with 2 Polk monitor 60 fronts, and a Boston Acoustics 10″ sub.

If you need an inexpensive or small center channel speaker ( i could’nt go bigger with my tv stand )this one is a very good performer.

    At under $200.00, it’s a bargain.
