Very cool product for the few days it worked. I have had about 10 days of use. The sensor for the remote on the player quit working. Tried to contact Samsung through their website can’t because they say the serial number is invalid. Even though they registered it and even gave me a production date of the unit. Ok, its a new model they may be behind in getting all the information into their system. Call tech support got a tech right away. He was unfamiliar with the product and was unable to find any information. Offered to send a new remote (not the problem). Finally offered to send me to a Level 2 tech. Gave me a transaction number and transferred me. Surprise, get a message that the phone is disconnected. Call back go through all the hoops to get to a level 1 tech. Explain everything a second time finally get transferred to a level 2 tech. This guys knows nothing about the product. Tells me he can’t pull up an owner’s manual (I have one in my hand). Says he will have a product specialist call me in 24 – 48 hours. 48 hours later nothing from Samsung they blew me off. Call them get sent to a level 3 tech who has me upload a copy of the receipt. Tells me to call back in 1/2 hour to verify they received the upload. Call back they verify my upload. Now I’m told someone will call me back in 48 hours to handle the warranty. I have never dealt with a company with such poor support. Do not buy a Samsung product they do not stand behind it.

We got this system a week ago…. connected to a Sharp LED. The set up is very, very simple. Despite the proprietary connectors on the system side, was able to extend the speakers with simple butt connectors and placed under the carpet. The quality (mindful for the $600 range) is fabulous! My partner is a classical musician and non techno person and she loved how it sounds. It takes little bit of of fumbling with PL and DLP buttons to get the right source, (not Samsung’s issue) but it is wonderful. We have a 12×18 + dinning room area so it is very, very good clear to hear. I have not been able to set up the wireless yet, was not auto found but I am sure will be able to do it. The CD makes a little bit of noise (we have everything else hidden but placed it on top of the cabinet for easy of access and looks very nice) but I think that is normal for DVD system. Blue ray is very nice and not sure the other comment on Samsung vs. Sony holds merit. We chose to spent the extra $80 for the system with the taller speakers and the 7.1 combo and 1300 Watts but I think it was the right decision. I will get an update on Netflix and wireless as I have not been able to use it yet…. Again, I think this is an amazing systems, price, design, features and design level…

I have an open living room, so I was attracted by the fact that this system has wireless rear speakers. However it turns out that only two of the four rear speakers are wireless. This is useless, since I would still need to run wires from the TV to the back. Luckily Amazon has a good return policy and I got a full refund.

I recently purchased this, my first home theater system, because of the following features: blu-ray, ability to stream Netflix from the internet, surround sound, wireless rear speakers, and compatability w/ my Samsung LN52A650 LCD TV. I’m no audiophile and didn’t want to pay for something at least 2X the cost. I am very happy with the system. The sound is excellent (I only have it set up as 5.1), blu-ray is awesome, and the ability to watch Netflix anytime (even between discs) is fantastic. The system really enhances the TV watching experience. I agree that the manual is not the best, but I got good help from the Samsung support person. My only quibble is that I need to use 3 remotes (Comcast is the 3rd) and the HT remote sometimes resets the source for the TV and then you get into a little loop until everything gets square.

Got mine last night. Didn’t take too long to setup and it automatically adjusts all your speaker volume settings with the included microphone. Sounds pretty good, its just a little light on bass. The only downside is that theres only 2 HDMI inputs and its not in my Harmony One’s device database yet.
