I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of install. Having read reviews of so many systems taking hours to synch and get right, this took 20 minutes and I’m not an audiophile . . . but I do follow directions. The sound is incredible and the BluRay far exceeds my expectations. We matched this with a 46″ LCD HD TV and are blown away. We’ve tried several surround sounds systems over the years and find this home theater package better in sound. The wireless surround system sounds great but it really isn’t wireless . . . there are still speaker wires from the wireless receiver to disguise, but not running wires under the carpet is worth it. Can you tell? I recommend it.Sony BDVE500W 5.1-Channel High-Definition Blu-ray Disc Player/DVD Disc Home theater System (Black)

This is a great system, video quality is great, functions are easy to use, menu is easy to navigate.

Only downside is there are no video inputs for additional components.

The sound is very clear, the microphone lets you tune the system to the room and where you want the center of sound to be. Subwoofer is OK since it’s unpowered.

I’ve had this home theater system for a few weeks and have been very pleased with it. It delivers great sound quality and flexibility. I was looking for a sound system with a built-in blu-ray player for our living room. As a bonus this includes an iPod/iPhone adapter that we use to play music and videos right from the iPod/iPhone (iPod/iPhone video from sound system to TV is over composite cable). If you are don’t have a blu-ray player and a sound system this would be a great system to consider, especially if you have an iPod/iPhone.

This Home Theater set performs above my expectations. The set up was easy, including the Wireless surround sound speakers. I’m very pleased with and can strongly recommend this unit.

After reading several reviews and listening to a few salespeople in stores, I reluctantly purchased this system because I could not find a worthy competitor and Amazon had a great price. I really needed a system with wireless rear speakers since I did not have access to wire the rear speakers. I was happily surprised when I set the system up and turned it on. My Bravia TV talks to it and tells it when to shut off. The only issue that I have with the unit is that the TV has to do the HDMI input selection requiring the inputs going to the TV instead of being routed by the amp.
