I have two of these and absolutely love them. I didn’t want a clock or radio. I just wanted speakers for my IPOD with a charging system. I got what I wanted. For such small speakers, they deliver good sound. In fact, I love this product so much, I’ve ordered two more and am thinking of ordering more for gifts! This is definitely NOT a stereo system, but it is great for the kitchen, bedroom and office.

First one had crazy whine noise all the time. Replacement still does it some of the time. Replacement through customer service was a pain as they took a long time and were rude.

This product works decently with my 4g iPod. Sound quality is passable. I tried using it with my iPod Touch, but their is no dock adapter included. In fact, there is no connector beyond 4g ipods, even though it is pictured using a Fall 2007 Classic on the box. If you want to use with a Fall 2007 or later iPods, you will need to use it through the aux jack on the back…kind of defeats the whole point of a dock system! I would suggest going with a different product and a different company.

Good desk top dock for iPhone 3G for office type setting. Doesn’t play that loud and is smaller than expected. Often hear a vibrating sound from the speakers when playing music from iPhone. Good for the price I guess.

If your looking for big sound this unit is not the one you will want. With that said if you are looking for something with a small footprint that charges your device as it plays, and has good sound at lower levels then this is a good choice. I am using it in my office and is is almost perfect for this setting.

Our 10-month-old baby likes music. In discussing the matter, my wife and I remarked that we should probably get some type of small sound system for his room that would play something a bit more sophisticated than the usual baby-toy fare. Well, wouldn’t you know it, Grandma overheard the conversation and presented the gift of an iLuv dock. We both have iPods, so it’s a welcome addition.

The dock works fine and we’ve had no problems with it. The baby seems to enjoy the musical background. We usually play it at fairly low volume, just enough to fill the room without letting the sound bleed out into the rest of the house. This has worked fine. On several occasions we’ve had the iLuv dock out into other parts of the house. On one recent occasion, there was a lot of extraneous background noise so we upped the volume on the dock. The results were unsatisfactory and grated on my nerves. Afterwards, I eliminated all the other noises and just listened to the iLuv deck at fairly high volume. It’s just terrible! Don’t get me wrong, I love listening to loud music, but from my stereo system where it’s pumped out through a large multi-speaker system. The iLuv dock is inadequate, but it wasn’t made for that purpose.

So, in any case, this little dock is all right when limited to supplying sound to a small room or sitting on top of a desk or counter, but don’t expect much more out of it. But, of course, it suites our needs well for the baby’s room.
