I just purchased a new pair of Polk Audio speakers (monitor 40) for the purpose of listening to records. The speakers arrived before this product arrived and so I borrowed some old speaker wire and set up my new speakers. They sounded alright, the bass was a bit flat and the highs were not very sharp… I didn’t know what to expect from these speakers but I knew that the wire I was using was serviceable at best. My Monster Cable THX 600 arrived the next day along with 24k gold plated monster angled connectors. I bi-wired my speakers and placed Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here on the platter of my turntable (nothing fancy–Numark TT 1700 with a Grado Prestige black MMC) and WOW. The THX 600 was about 4 times as thick as the speaker wire I was using. The bass was much fuller and the highs were crisp. I don’t think that I could have purchased better wire. If you are looking for speaker wire for your home theater or stereo setup I don’t think you could go wrong with this unless you are an elitist with more money than you know what to do with… My setup will change and improve as the years go on but I think this wire will be a part of my set up for a long time.

Redid my tower speakers and center channel. I really noticed the improvement in the towers. Music was more defined. I liked it so much, I ordered more! I also used Monster banana clips (see review) and those made connections easier and even made everything sound better. As in cleaner and tighter in response.

Wow, I didn’t know that the wire would be this thick. There was a definate sound difference from the small gauge wire that came with my speakers. Great wire.
