First, it slipped from my grasp and slid a foot to the carpet below and riped a piece of the paper-thin laminate off, then it was so difficult to put some of the pieces and their screws together, more of the laminate ripped, and then…well, you get the picture. We actually gave it away and went to a furniture store and bought a similar piece for half the price that was already assembled. Oh, and the color was not as shown – much too dark. A poor choice and lost money. Never again.

A week after ordering the item, I was tracking with UPS and it said that it the truck was out for delivery. I saw the truck pass my house and didn’t stop. I checked again later and it said that the package was not loaded and will be delivered the next day. Two hours later, UPS said the the package was refused by the receiver and was being shipped back. I called UPS and they said that it was damaged during shipment. I call Amazon and they said they would send another OVERNIGHT for no charge!! When it arrived, the largest, heaviest piece, the top shelf, had the corner bent and scrapped. I called Amazon again. They said to contact the manufacturer. On the Techcraft web site, I just had to fill out a damage report and less than a week later, the replacement came very well packed this time at no cost! The instructions were only slightly confusing as far as not showing well the pegs vs bolts in one case. After putting it together myself in 2.5hrs, we are very happy with the look and quality. The only tricky part was attaching the door hinges which required propping then up while trying to align the screw holes. I was very impressed with Amazon’s and Techcraft’s response to the problems.

I bought this after a broken TV forced me to upgrade to a flat screen. Our existing entertainment center would not work but this was perfect. There are 6 shelves for your entertainment components (Cable box, Aux, Video Game Consoles). Many of the TV stands I looked at were made of particle board or covered in plastic veneer. This does have some MDF board (Shelves, sides bottom of the inside of the cabinet. However, the parts that are visible are solid hardwood. The top is all one piece hardwood with beautiful grain. The legs are solid wood and the glass doors are pained in wood. I am very impressed with the size and height. Many of the TV stands I have seen are very short. This one measures in at about 30 inches tall.
The only issue I have with it is the color. It looks darker in person than in the picture. The color is described as “Walnut” but it is much more like a deep cherry stain in person. It is sturdy and looks like you paid more for it.

I’m very happy with this entertainment center. I put it together myself (48 y.o. female) with ease. It took about 1-1/2 hrs.

Received package in good condition. Shipped in 1 carton weighing 103 pounds. Delivered by UPS woman who probably weighed less than the package. How she managed is amazing, since I had difficulty (and I weigh over 200 lbs) moving it into house. The cabinet is extremely sturdy and I’m sure it will support weight of everything I will put in and on it. Assembly should take about 2 hours. Wooden dowels were provided, however, unless you plan on using glue, they are worthless. If you glue it, you won’t be able to take apart if you want to move. The rear panels have screw holes that don’t match up to holes in cabinet. If this had not been problem, I would have given 5 stars.
