I got this mount because of the way my entertainment center is set up, I needed to have some wiggle room with where to put the TV. Since my studs are 16 inches apart, a normal wall mount wouldn’t work. I purchased this mount sort of blindly hoping it would meet my needs, and it definitely did.
Even though the I wasn’t able to put the mount exactly where I wanted it on the wall, I was able to move the TV into the correct position because of the movable armature. It also had the added benefit of being able to pull the TV out from the wall about a foot, giving a look of depth to my entertainment center.
I looked for comparable mounts at big box stores like Best Buy because I was a little reluctant to buy one of these without seeing it in person, but the cheapest I could find was around $500 for something comparable.
This mount really is a good deal and a steal at the price offered. I would buy it again if I ever get a 2nd flat screen.

Was expecting a slightly flimsy mount with cheap hardware………pleasantly surprised that it was sturdy and well built for my 40 ” Sony…… A little effort is needed to adjust to the angle I wanted, but I have no intention to constantly re- adjust TV position so this worked out great for the price!!!
I plan on buying a second one for my next LCD TV

The price is right on this mount but unfortunately when you move the TV all the way to one side or the other the hinge gouges into the wall. Do yourself a favor and spend and extra few bucks on something with rounded edges on the hinges.

Purchased three of them to mount some 40″ LCD TV’s and they work perfectly. They can articulate enough that we were able to mount it in a corner and still get plenty of movement for adjusting the screen.

This product is heavy and very strong. It has to be to support the large TVs made nowadays. My partner is very handy and she figured out how to mount the unit to the wall so I can’t speak to whether the instructions are good or not. It doesn’t come in pieces and it looks like basic common sense to me.
The really tricky part was mounting the TV to the unit. It’s very difficult to see what you are doing when you are holding half an 80-lb. TV and trying to mount your side to the clips when the other person is also maneuvering to the do the same thing with their side. So you have to work together and talk it through. Also, we mounted it in a corner so that made it more difficult because we had less room to work in.
The joints were a little stiff to begin with but after playing around with them, they seemed to loosen up. I also think there are screws you can loosen to make parts of them swing more freely.
I haven’t used other wall mounts so I can’t compare, but we’re certainly happy with this product and would buy it again.
