Just received this little monster yesterday and all I can say is wow! I have 2 Polk Monitor 50s and had an old 3 piece sony set for my center and rears. I wanted to get a smaller set that looked sleek, but more importantly sounded good! I am HIGHLY satisfied with this center speaker! Put in Transformers last night..wow! Ordered 2 Polk RM7 sats for the rears, coming next week!! If you are looking for a small center channel that looks amazing, but ever better sounds amazing, this is the one for you!

I don’t know if JG’s review was for the RM8 or RM7. I bought these when I re-did my home 7.1 theater system. I have this as a center channel, 2 pair of the larger RM8 satellites for front and side, and a pair of RM7 satellites for the rear. I like the sub/sat types of systems as I don’t loose any floor space using towers. As long as you get a stellar sub, these work amazingly well. The dispersion is fantastic, completely fills our large living room with sound. Whether it’s a Blu-Ray movie or a satellite radio channel, it all sounds amazing.

Great sound, simple to add or change out. Small and black so it hides easily.

I bought this center channel to add to my 2.0 setup (a pair of Polk Monitor 50′s). Construction wise, the RM8 is solid. It feels heavy for its size, and the gloss finish is really nice (it happens to match the finish on the bezel of my TV). Setup was simple.

The sound quality is excellent. While the sound can be a little small, it’s crisp and clear – no static or distortion. For bigger sound, I would have gone for one of the Polk CS series center speakers, but unfortunately, I just didn’t have room for it on my entertainment unit, and I don’t think the girlfriend would have gone for it either. This little speaker blends in nicely with the rest of my equipment. The girlfriend probably wouldn’t have noticed it if I didn’t tell her!

This speaker is a great buy for a great price. If you have the room, get one of the CS centers, but if not, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Was sort of forced to buy this cause of the limited space my entertainment center provides for a center channel. Overall, it’s pretty good, wish I could get a bigger one with more power but for the price and for the value that comes with it being the only small center channel on the market, I’m pretty happy.
