Decent system for the price. 329.00 shipped from Amazon. If you are looking for an all around sound system, that delivers very good sound and has wireless rear speakers, this is it. One HDMI in and HDMI out. Be aware that you will need some HDMI cables along with some optical cables for audio. This system cannot do audio and video via HDMI outside of the dvd player built in. Here is my setup:

    Sharp Aquas 40 inch LCD

    Digital Cable box

    Xbox 360

If you want surround sound for all of these, you will need to get an optical switch (only one optical connection on the Samsung, so you will need to manually switch between components) Hdmi from Samsung, Cable Box and any other components to the TV. Then you need to run optical cable from Cable Box and other components to the Samsung. You can find a switch on amazon for about 10 bucks. I would also highly recommend getting a universal remote (logitech) becuase seriously, its a 3 or 4 step process to switch between souces and get everything working. Program a universal remote. Be aware that you still need to run wires from the rear speakers to the wireless module, and that module requires power. Not “wireless” as you might think, but still a way better solution than running wires across the room. Great system for watching movies, playing video games, watching tv, etc. Dont get a chance to use the full power of this system due to kids and early bedtime, but I have cranked it up when the house was empty, and this system can get loud. Love the Ipod dock and FM tuner built in. For my family’s modest needs, this system fits perfectly. Beware, though, that you have no expandability with this system, so if you are thinking of building a high quality sound system, this is not the product for you. Those looking for anything outside of mid-level should purchase components piece by piece.

Hope this review helps, as I couldnt find very many customer reviews.

I am very happy with the quality of sound from my new Samsung home theater system. The 5-disc DVD player loads movies very quickly (much faster than my previous Sony 5-disc) and the speakers and sub woofer add all the depth to my movies that I could ask for.

This is a great upgrade for me as I’m only used to listening from my TV speakers while watching movies. Now I feel like I’m in a mini movie theater!

I have been using this system for a month and have been fooled many times, when watching a movie, thinking I just heard someone knock on my front door or thunder clapping outside when in fact it came from the DVD system.

This HT is an alrounder with HDMI input & Output… It has an iPod Dock included… Wireless speakers… Auto sound calibration… 5-disc changer… USB host… and a very good sound output..

I was searching for some HTs in this price range, but some had no DVD player inbuilt, then some didn’t have HDMI input for extra Bluray player, some were not wireless…

So overall this was the best buy for me…

Nice Little system for the price. I am under no illusions that for a few thousand more there are much better sounding sytems but for 300 dollars this is a good value. Setup was fairly easy. I really like the rear wireless module it saves having to try and run wires all over the house. It does make a buzzing noise, but you only hear it if the sound is very low. the upconverting dvd player works great. One small issue wish it had more digital audio inputs as this seems to be the only way to get surround sound for your satalite box, ps3 or bluray.

The sound is excellent and was fairly easy to set up. We purchased it to be compatible with our Samsung tv and having an updated remote is a big plus. Now we don’t have to switch remotes to get what we want. DVD and CD use is easy. Big bang for the buck! Only con – no return to previous channel button.
