If you own a home theater, you should have a surge protector with line conditioning. Most people simply use power strips, which are small and easy to use. The problem is that they’re not effective. We recommend that you throw your power strip away. Immediately. Power isn’t consistent – there are always spikes, coming from a number of different sources. Because of the inconsistencies, surges will occur, and your equipment will then wear out much faster. A lot of electronic noise comes from your household as well, from devices such as microwaves, refrigerators, vaccuums, etc. Line conditioning in surge protectors will reduce the added noise to your home theater system. The more you move up in quality in your line conditioning surge protector, the more you’ll increase the number of filters and quality of those filters. You’ll also increase isolated banks.
